Microcell Carbon Foam — The 3D Electrode Advantage
Carbon foam is an aerospace-grade composite with extremely low bulk density and porosity above 90%. Firefly pastes active material onto this conductive, acid-resistant grid, creating thousands of microcells — each with its own complement of active material and electrolyte.
The result is higher power, faster recharge, deeper usable discharge and dramatically improved cycle life compared with traditional flat-plate lead-acid designs — at a fraction of the cost of many “premium” advanced batteries.
